Business Law Basics – This session introduces entity types, partner agreements, discusses common mistakes and challenges in agreements, as performance agreements, employment agreements, and non-disclosure agreements).

 

Allison M. Lindner is an associate attorney at BrownWinick and is Co-Chair of the firm’s Business and Corporate Law Practice Group.  Allison represents business clients in various aspects of their business operations including business organization, equity financing, securities compliance, board of director operations and duties, shareholder matters and other various business transactions.  She also provides legal services in the areas of corporate transactions and education law.

Allison is a member of the Polk County, Iowa State and American Bar Associations.  She currently serves as Legal Counsel for the West Des Moines Business Incubator, Inc., is a member of the West Des Moines Leadership Academy Class of 2015-2016 and is a Board Member of Polk County Women Attorneys. She has also been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in the Business/Corporate area. Allison was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 2010.

Allison graduated from Iowa State University in 2007, with distinction, with a B.S. in Management. While at Iowa State, she was an advisor/member of the Presidential Leadership Class and a member of the Business Week Steering Committee.  In the fall of 2006, Allison attended the University of Extremadura in Caceres, Spain and in 2003-2004 she was a Rotary Foreign Exchange Student in Aschaffenburg, Germany.

Allison received her J.D. in 2010 from the University of Iowa College of Law and was a Boyd Service Award Recipient.  In law school, Allison was a Legal Intern with the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals in 2008 and a Legal Intern at the University of Iowa Foundation from 2008-2009.  She was active as the Note Editor of the Journal of Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems, a research assistant at the Iowa Legal Aid and a Board Member of the Organization of Women Legal Students & Staff.
